Now on to today’s topic…
I think it’s safe to say that at some point most of us have had pain and have taken
medication for it.

Now on to today’s topic…
Whether it’s due to an injury, a chronic disease (like
arthritis) or even a headache from having your taxes done this week, the vast majority of
us have been in the pop-a-pill-for-pain-relief
boat.
And when it comes to pain relief, the most common choices
are NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) or acetaminophen.
Since they’re commonly prescribed as well as available over
the counter, the average person thinks that these drugs are relatively safe….but
unfortunately, nothing could be farther from the truth.
In fact, they can be downright deadly.
Read on to see what you may not know, but MUST know, about pain relief drugs.
Take 2 and call me in
the morning
NSAIDs are the most prescribed medications in the
world. In the US, over 70 million prescriptions are written
for them each year, and that doesn't even include over the counter NSAIDs.
And acetaminophen sales in the US alone were a whopping $750 million in 2013!
But these seemingly innocent little pain relievers that many
people pop like candy have a dangerous side that you just can't ignore.
Simply put, they're toxic
to your body!
First and foremost, ALL medications create acid wastes
in your body, which in turn can stir up pain and inflammation when they get in your bloodstream.
So in the case of pain relievers, they can eventually worsen the very thing they’re supposed
to help!
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Let’s take a closer look at the potential dangers of both
NSAIDs and acetaminophen as well as explore some ways you can get natural, safe
pain relief!
NSAIDs-trading
throbbing for bleeding?
Here is a listing of the most popular NSAIDs by generic
name, with the brand names in parenthesis:
- Ibuprofen (Advil; Motrin; Midol)
- Diclofenac (Voltaren; Cambia; Zipsor)
- Indomethacin (Indocin)
- Naproxen (Anaprox; Naprosyn; Aleve)
- Piroxicam (Feldene)
- Ketoprofen (Orudis)
One of the most common side effects of NSAIDs is gastrointestinal bleeding. NSAID users are four times more likely to become hospitalized with bleeding ulcers
or GI hemorrhage than nonusers.
Over and above the obvious complications of ulcers, GI
bleeding can also lead to anemia, dehydration, chest pain, shock and, if severe
enough, death.
In addition, studies indicate that patients using NSAIDS
daily show elevated liver enzymes that are twice the normal
range. The biggest elevations were seen
with diclofenac (Voltaren).
And if that’s not enough, NSAIDS have also been shown to
cause psychosis, cognitive impairment and even hallucinations!
Acetaminophen-it’s no
better
The popular brand name for acetaminophen is Tylenol.
Now, the FDA has issued warnings about acetaminophen doses exceeding
325 mg. as they can lead to severe liver
damage or death.
Considering that just one gel tablet of Extra
Strength Tylenol contains 500 mg. of acetaminophen, it’s easy to blow past that
danger zone and taunt your liver on a regular basis.
So it’s no surprise that according to the National
Institutes of Health, acetaminophen overdose is one of the most common
poisonings worldwide.
What makes this even more serious is that acetaminophen is also
found as an active ingredient in other “combination drugs” including opioids
such as oxycodone (Percocet), hydrocodone (Vicodin) and codeine (Tylenol with
Codeine).
Plus it’s also a common ingredient in many cold, flu and
allergy drugs including NyQuil, DayQuil, Theraflu, Sudafed, Dristan,
Robitussin, Triaminic, Dimetapp, Vicks Formula 44, Sinutab, Actifed and
Liquiprin.
So you can unknowingly be getting far more acetaminophen
than you think.
Now, your liver isn’t the only organ of detox in danger
here—your kidneys can be affected
too.
Researchers estimate that eight to ten percent of all kidney
failure cases are directly attributed to acetaminophen use.
And most recently, a very disturbing study has come out of
Ohio State University showing that acetaminophen use can blunt your emotions!
In the study of 82 participants, those who took
acetaminophen reported feeling less strong emotions when they saw both very
pleasant and very disturbing photos, when compared to those who took placebos.
Safe, natural pain
relief
Never fear—because you CAN get relief from pain without having
to be a slave to pain drugs.
Because there are two extremely effective ways to reduce
pain and inflammation safely and
naturally:
1- Reduce the acid wastes in your
system and
2- Get the proper Omega-6: Omega-3
essential fatty acid balance in your body
Here's the scoop on both:
Step 1: Acid waste reduction
When your body is overrun with acid wastes from poor
digestion, all of your organs and systems are put in a state of stress.
Plus like I mentioned above, acid wastes can seep into your
bloodstream and get deposited into your tissues, muscles, bones and joints.
This is the PERFECT environment for pain and inflammation to
thrive!
But when you help improve your digestion your body can
better rid itself of those acid wastes, and pain and inflammation can naturally
decrease as a result.
And that is what the Great Taste No Pain health system will help you achieve.
In Great Taste No Pain, you'll learn the science of why some
foods digest better with others and why some combinations are more difficult
for your system to break down (and instead lead to acid waste buildup).
Plus there are charts that show exactly which foods are
acid-creating and which are alkaline.
You'll also be shocked to learn how many painful illnesses are linked to
excess acidity--you might see many problems you have on the list!
Step 2: The essential fatty acid
(EFA) link
The natural inflammation-controlling power of a healthy
Omega-6: Omega-3 essential fatty acid balance was taught to the world rather
innocently.
Here's how:
In the 1970's researchers began exploring the health of the Greenland Eskimos, and it was quickly
noted that they were rarely plagued by inflammatory diseases.
Their diet rich in seafood (which is LOADED with Omega-3
fatty acids) was one of the major reasons why!
You see, while Omega-6 fatty acids stir up inflammation, Omega-3s calm things down
and are a natural anti-inflammatory.
The Eskimos got such a high amount of natural Omega-3s in
their seafood diet, inflammatory conditions were basically non-existent!
Sadly, we Americans are the exact opposite. We get truckloads of inflammation-causing
Omega-6 fatty acids in our diets (from foods like grain-fed meats, processed
foods, margarine, vegetable oils and fast food), but not nearly enough
Omega-3s.
And our levels of inflammatory conditions and pain are skyrocketing
to prove it!
There needs to be a delicate balance between Omega-6's and
Omega-3's in your body. When they are
working together in ratio between 2:1 and 5:1, they effectively control
inflammation.
But most people have a ratio of 10:1 or worse. People who eat lots of processed foods have a
ratio of up to 50:1!
With this gross imbalance of Omega fatty acids, the
inflammation-control system in your body cannot and does not function
properly--and you can end up with LOTS of pain as a result.
But you can help reduce pain dramatically by restoring a
healthy Omega-6 and 3 balance to your diet through Omega-3 EFA supplementation.
VitalMega-3 is a super-potent, purified fish oil formula
that delivers a full 1,000 mg. of the well-researched EPA and DHA Omega-3
essential fatty acids in every daily 2-capsule serving.
Freedom from pain and pain drugs!
Don't spend one more minute thinking you're destined to a
life of pain or that dangerous NSAIDs or acetaminophen are your only options
for pain relief.
When you help your body safely and naturally eliminate
inflammation-causing acid wastes and engage the power of inflammation-fighting
Omega-3 essential fatty acids, a whole new comfortable world free of nagging
pain can open up for you!
